CARDS AND STICKERS CONDITION GUIDE

General information

The condition of the cards and stickers decisively influences their price and especially the collecting value they may have. This is the main reason of conflict between buyers and sellers, so it is extremely important for sellers to refine the description of their products to avoid problems.

Cataloging a card or a sticker in a condition higher than the real one can lead to a discrepancy on the part of the buyer, a request for a refund or a poor evaluation.

The different conditions in which the cards, stickers and other material may be are detailed below. Please take a few minutes to fully understand the system so you can properly classify your items.

Condition guide

MINT/NEAR MINT

This condition corresponds to a card or card in perfect condition. It is the equivalent of an item that is in the same or similar condition at the time it came out of the sealed material.

A Mint-Near Mint item shows no pecking, bending, damaged edges, scratches, dirt, or similar.

EXCELLENT

This condition corresponds to a card or sticker that is in a slightly lower condition than the previous one.

An Excellent item shows no major pecks, bends, damaged edges, scratches, dirt, or similar.

This condition is typical of those items that have slight marks or defects, whether from the factory or due to use or handling, but are in good general condition, maintaining their collector's value practically intact.

  GOOD

This condition corresponds to a card or trading card that is in a condition lower than Excellent.

A Good item shows obvious signs of use or wear, and has its collector value and price diminished.

This condition may imply that the card or card has more worn edges, more visible scratches, pecks on edges and corners and/or some dirt.

Bends or any type of breakage are not allowed in this category.

  PLAYED

This condition corresponds to a card or card that is in a state of obvious deterioration.

It may show damage of the same characteristics, but greater severity than a card or card in Good condition, and in this case it may include bends or small breaks that do not cause the item to lose its entire value.

This condition is often associated with intensive use without covers, storage in poor conditions or the use of rubber bands that damage the edges.

This category includes, among others, cardboard cards detached from their original album regardless of the front condition of the card, even if their quality is apparently superior.

  POOR

A Poor card or card is anything that is in a state of almost total loss of value, both for collecting and for any other use.

They are all those items that worsen one's poor condition, and show even greater wear or damage.

It is recommended not to publish items in this condition unless justified by their extreme rarity, great value despite poor condition, or historical interest.

This category includes, among others, sticker cards recovered from the album and re-pasted on their own original back and stickers removed from the album slot window, with or without the fragment previously removed.

 SEALED

A Sealed Product is one that is sold in factory-new condition, with its original packaging or seals, with no signs of tampering or repackaging. These products are sealed by the manufacturer and subsequently distributed, and they no longer have such a condition when they are opened.

Se incluyen en esta categoría:

-          Booster boxes

-          Booster packs

-          Any other sealed or brand new product.

If the brand new wrapping remains but the condition is not perfect, it's mandatory to mention that circumstance in the product comments field.
